Our global campaign for skin cancer awareness month
Vita Liberata has always championed safe sun practices – creating products that give our customers “the glow” without the risk of sun exposure.
The campaign aims to unite beauty fans in the fight against skin cancer, as we encourage them to get to know their skin through regular #BodyCareChecks
Vita Liberata is supporting skin cancer awareness by making a donation to The Skin Cancer Foundation as well as sharing safety guidance with professional dermatologist
May is recognized around the globe as Skin Cancer Awareness Month and we’re supporting The Skin Cancer Foundation by donating to help support sun safety education and awareness
5 million people every year are treated for skin cancer – that’s more than breast, prostate, colon and lung cancer combined. Together we can help minimize the effects of skin cancer around the world. Join us!
Get to know your skin through regular #BodyCareChecks. Below are four simple ways for you to keep yourself safe and fight skin cancer:
OUR 4 STEPS SUN SAFETY GUIDELINES:
1. KNOW YOUR MOLES AND MARKS:
When applying a body care product, whether it is SPF, moisturizer or self-tanner, take the time to really look at any moles and marks.
2. PROTECT YOURSELF:
Wear and regularly reapply broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30, even if you are only in your back garden
3. LIMIT EXPOSURE:
Take advantage of shady spots and put on a sun hat and t-shirt, still remembering to wear SPF. Avoid the sun when it’s at its strongest in the middle of the day
4. GET THE GLOW SAFELY:
You don’t need to sacrifice a beautiful glow to be tanned. Use a sunless tanning alternative like Vita Liberata. There’s different formulas and applications to choose from for easy to achieve, natural-looking results.
ABOUT THE SKIN CANCER FOUNDATION:
It was found in 1979 and is dedicated to educating the public and medical community about the early detection, treatment and prevention of skin cancer. The Big See provides useful tools and resources for everyone.
